Arizona's Legislative Lookout

Keeping Our Eyes on Arizona’s Policy Landscape

As the Arizona Chapter of the International Association of Forensic Nurses, we recognize legislation directly shapes the way we care for patients, collaborate with partners, and advocate for survivors. Our goal with the Legislative Lookout portion of the website is to provide members with a central place to stay informed about laws, bills, and policy changes that may impact forensic nursing, healthcare, public health, and victim advocacy across our state.

Here you will find:

  • Current Bills & Updates: Summaries of pending or recently passed legislation relevant to forensic nursing and sexual violence response.

  • Analysis & Implications: How proposed changes may affect patient care, forensic practice, funding, or interdisciplinary collaboration.

  • Calls to Action: Opportunities to provide testimony, share feedback, or support advocacy efforts as professionals and community members.

  • Resources & Links: Direct connections to Arizona legislative tracking tools, partner organizations, and advocacy groups.

We invite all members to view this page as a living resource. Legislative priorities evolve quickly, and our collective awareness ensures we can adapt, advocate, and act together.

** If you become aware of a bill, policy shift, or local ordinance that may be of interest to our chapter, please contact us. Together, we can strengthen our presence at the state level and ensure the voices of forensic nurses, and the patients we serve... are represented.**
